Classroom Management
Within the context of this instructional plan, each of the four students has their own instructional assistant. These instructional assistants provide support in the areas of academic development, behavioral development, and habits of daily living.
Further, the instructional plan for this unit is a "pull-out style curriculum" and is specially designed for the needs of these four students (Best et al., 2010). The plan is full of accommodations and modifications that would not be provided to students enrolled in traditional class settings. For example, the four students in this class work each work with a instructor as they follow directions for measurement and recipes. Further, the scope and sequence of this unit is designed in such a way to challenge each student's learning, but be appropriate for their current development.
I've attached a document with sample accommodations and modifications that will be implemented over the course of this unit.
